lilac-inspired wedding  editorial

the Tenneys photography

I chose lilac for what it leaves behind, not just what it shows. The scent carries through a space, softening everything, and I wanted the room to feel full in that quiet, lingering way.

The design centered around florals at their natural peak, lilac in volume, peonies in full bloom. There is a kind of romance in that scale, especially when it’s allowed to remain slightly undone. It reflects the French sensibility I’m drawn to, layered, intuitive, and never overworked.

The palette was kept restrained, blush, soft purple, touches of blue, so nothing competes. Each element supports the next, creating a sense of continuity rather than contrast.
